ROCKETOWN HIRES VETERAN ON STAFF - Jimmy Abegg, a veteran of the Christian music and artistic communities, has been added to the Rocketown Records staff as the label's Image Czar.

"(He) will oversee all things creative at the label, including photography, imaging, package design and the visual arts (illustration, film and video)," said Rocketown president Don Donahue.

"We have many goals here at Rocketown, and few are as important as hiring creative people who love God and want to impact culture. We have scored a coup in the addition of Jimmy Abegg to our Rocketown family.

"He is a very creative soul, and Rocketown is fortunate to have the opportunity to tap into his storehouse of talents and ideas."

Abegg has been involved in the music business for over 20 years. He is an accomplished musician, and his contributions as a player to pioneering acts like the 77's, Charlie Peacock, and Rich Mullins and A Ragamuffin Band have been critically acclaimed. In addition to his musicianship, Abegg has been recognized recently for his work as photographer, painter, designer, illustrator and film-maker/videographer.

His artwork and photography credits are included on best-selling albums, including popular works from Michael W. Smith, Mullins, Chris Rice and the Dove Award-winning Exodus worship recording.
